  • What are the cancellation, rescheduling, and late policies at YGG?
    We have an 8-hour cancellation policy and a 2-hour rescheduling policy. Cancellations or rescheduling within these restricted timeframes are non-refundable. These policies are consistent with industry standards across other beauty-related businesses. Clients are able to manage their appointments conveniently through their online login. We also have a late policy to ensure our schedule runs smoothly. Appointments are scheduled in 20-minute increments. If a client is more than 6 minutes late, it affects the remainder of our day. If you anticipate being more than 6 minutes late, please contact us. We will do our best to fit you into the next available opening, but accommodation is not guaranteed.
  • What is the policy regarding spray tans for minors at YGG?
    Guests under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Additionally, the minor's legal guardian is required to complete and sign the health waiver prior to the appointment.
  • What is the touch up policy at YGG?
    We offer a 10-minute touch-up service for guests who have visited within the past 48 hours and would like to make adjustments to their tan. This service includes up to three body areas and is available for a $25 fee. Touch-up appointments must be scheduled by contacting us directly at 865-459-9696. If adjustments are needed for more than three body areas, a new full appointment must be booked through the online booking platform on our website.
  • What products are included in the Post-Glow Aftercare?
    Each Post-Glow Aftercare bag includes either a travel-size lotion and body wash or a travel-size lotion and Coola sunscreen, along with a mini Glow Dust. Your post-care items will be provided to you at the time of your appointment. Post-Glow Aftercare bags are also available for purchase at our studios for $24.
  • How far in advance of an event should I tan?
    For best results, we recommend scheduling your spray tan two days prior to your event, especially for brides. This allows the color to fully develop and reduces the chance of any color transfer. For vacations, booking your spray tan for the day before you leave is typically ideal.
  • Are spray tans safe for pregnant women?
    Always consult with your OB before scheduling a spray tan during pregnancy. We use a professional ventilation system, which is different from traditional spray booths, and often provides expecting mothers with added comfort. Masks are also available upon request to ensure you feel as safe and comfortable as possible during your appointment.
  • Is the solution tinted or clear?
    Yes, there is immediate color due to the cosmetic bronzer included in all of our solutions. The bronzer acts as a guide during application, allowing the artist to see and ensure an even, flawless tan. There are clear solutions available in the tanning industry, but we find that the application is less even with these products.
  • How long does the tan last?
    The longevity of your tan depends on several factors, with proper prep and post-care being key. If you follow the instructions we send after booking, your tan should last 7-10 days before it starts to fade. The fade will occur naturally in sync with your skin’s natural shedding cycle. For an extra boost, we offer prep and moisture lock sprays that can be added during your appointment to extend your tan’s life by an additional 1-3 days. To maintain your tan, be sure to stay moisturized and stay hydrated!
  • What is Glow Dust?
    Glow Dust is our exclusive, in-house magical drying powder, crafted with all-natural ingredients. We apply Glow Dust to every customer after their tan to instantly dry the skin on contact, eliminating the sticky feeling often associated with a fresh sunless tan. Glow Dust takes the place of standing in front of a fan, allowing you to leave feeling dry, comfortable, and confident right after your appointment. A mini Glow Dust is also included in each Post-Glow Aftercare bag for you to use at home.
